Email remains a very effective form of marketing, according to the 2021 State of Email Report by Litmus, as reported by Marketing Charts. In 2021, according to the report, 42 percent of marketing professionals from around the world think email marketing is very critical to their company's success, and 37 percent expect their email marketing budget to increase in 2022. Over 80 percent of marketers send out email newsletters while 79 percent send out welcome emails and 72 percent send out sales or promotional emails. In addition, 80 percent of marketers personalize emails by name, company name or other profile data. Automation is heavily used in email marketing: 82 percent of marketing professionals use automated triggered emails.
