Small brands can compete more effectively with big brands if they look bigger than they are. A small brand can look big if it:
- chooses a memorable, meaningful and unique brand name
- uses a professional logo
- follows a consistent brand identity
- creates a strong online presence that integrates a well-designed website with the appropriate use of social media.
A small brand can also look bigger if the company that owns it employs smart business practices that focus on the needs of customers. Great customer service that is responsive, attentive, and personalized will create a sense of customer loyalty even for a small brand. Remember, big brands started out small -- they got big because they looked successful from the start and did the kinds of things that differentiated them from their competition.
